Frequently Asked Questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Previously scheduled evaluations, consultations and training classes cancelled at least 24 hours in advance (North Edge K9 must acknowledge the cancellation) can be rescheduled without penalty. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows will be charged full price for that session. If a client is tardy, that time will be deducted from the training session. Purchased Classes, packages and programs are non-refundable, however, if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance (North Edge K9 must acknowledge the cancellation), you will retain the class credit in your account. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) and no-shows will lose the full class credit.

Do I need to sign a liability release?

North Edge K9 is a fully insured business, but we request each customer sign our additional liability release BEFORE beginning any class or activity.

Can I bring a family member to training class with me?

Yes. Training is a family affair! If you’re working to stop your dog from begging for food while someone else in the family is feeding him chicken under the table, your training is not going to be effective. Inviting the family, even young children, to be involved in the training of your dog is a great way to get the whole family on the same page. Many times children can be the quickest learners when it comes to dog training. We do ask, though, that all children (18 and younger) be supervised by an adult, that way they are not disrupting another dog’s learning or putting themselves or a dog in harm’s way. Guests need to sign our liability release as well.

What happens in bad weather?

We operate in an indoor 1300 sq ft training facility located in Gorham Maine, and are independent of any weather. On rare occasions, inclement weather will force us to cancel a class, typically in the winter when driving in general is not advised. Restrooms are on site and there is ample parking.
